There are few musicians whose names are revered as much as Eric Clapton’s. Being able to play Layla, Wonderful Tonight, Tears in Heaven, Cocaine and I Shot the Sheriff is among the highest achievements any musician can attain. His 2025 album Meanwhile suggests his career as an entertainer will continue. Playing these songs in any venue is an unforgettable experience that everyone should take advantage of. The 18 Grammys he has won and being inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame three times with the Yardbirds, Cream and as a solo artist support the fact he is not only an incredible musician but a guitar icon. He was appointed a CBE by the British Royal family in 2004 and is also known as Slowhand. He continues to travel the world.
ERIC CLAPTON TEAMS UP WITH JIMMIE VAUGHAN From blues rock to a supreme blues-rock fusion: Eric Clapton welcomes special guest Jimmie Vaughan (American blues rock guitarist, singer and older brother of the late Stevie Ray Vaughan and co-founder with Kang Gano of the rock band The Fabulous Thunderbirds). As a solo artist and guitarist and singer with The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Vaughan has created music that uniquely blends the modern rock, jazz, and blues traditions with elements of the earlier blues and R&B forms, a distinctive guitar style for which he has won many Blues Music Awards, and a place in the Texas Music Hall of Fame. He is known for hits such as “Tuff Enuff,” “Wrap It Up,” and “Look at That” when he performed them for The Fabulous Thunderbirds. With his 2019 release Baby, Please Come Home he’s largely returned to a more blues-based approach.
