Grammy nominted singer-songwriter and rapper, Machine Gun Kelly began as a rap artist. He performed in rap battles in Cleveland’s underground rap scene and self released a couple of mixtapes and EPs. Eventually his talent was noticed by music execs and he got signed under Bad Boy Records and Interscope. In 2012, he released his major label debut Half Naked & Almost Famous, making an immediate breakthrough into the Mainstreama and rap charts. That same year, he released his debut album Lace Up, which soared to number 4 on the Billboard 200 and number 2 on the Top Rap charts. MGK released several more notable hip-hop albums, including General Admision, Bloom, and Hotel Diablo. In 2020, he released his fully rock album, Tickets to My Downfall. He found immense success with the record, topping the Billboard 200 and Top Rock Albums. The record was fast to sell over a million copies, earning him his second platinum certification. In 2022, MGK once again topped the charts with his follow up album Mainstream Sellout.
